I am a dedicated public servant with extensive experience in federal grants management, program administration, and community development. Currently, I serve as the Deputy Director of Grants Development & Administration for the City of North Las Vegas, where I oversee federal, state, and local grant programs that fund critical community initiatives. My work includes managing compliance, reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning to ensure grant-funded projects effectively serve North Las Vegas residents.
Throughout my career, I have successfully managed complex programs such as the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF), the HOPWA Program, and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. My expertise in policy development, financial oversight, and program impact evaluation has been instrumental in driving positive change at both the local and state levels.
Beyond my professional role, I am honored to have served as the 9th National President of Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc., leading national initiatives focused on health, mentoring, education, and social justice. My leadership within the organization reflects my lifelong commitment to empowering women, fostering community engagement, and advocating for equity.
Academically, I hold a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Psychology, a Master of Public Administration (MPA), and a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration. My doctoral research focuses on the experiences of African American women in higher education, reinforcing my dedication to diversity, inclusion, and academic advancement.
At my core, I am passionate about leveraging resources, building strategic partnerships, and creating sustainable opportunities for underserved communities. My work is driven by the belief that effective leadership and community collaboration can create lasting impact.
